Most Lions fans give Brad Holmes the benefit of the doubt, and he's done well with his early round picks, but his later round picks have been a mixed bag, at best. I've never been a fan of trading future picks for lower picks in the current year.  Well run organizations typically don't do that.

Lions pick is another patented, “trust Brad Holmes” pick. Giving up a future 3rd rounder for a late 4th rounder from British Columbia? Trust Brad Holmes.

I love GM Brad Holmes and Coach Dan Campbell, the Lions countering the moves of the Vikings and Packrats by finding ANOTHER extra pick.

George Costanza likes the Giovanni Manu pick. You know, it's, it's 'new,' which is good. And a 'ma' in front of it. MA-NU. When you consider the other choices, 'Manu' is actually pretty refreshing.

EVERTON WINS! Everton avoids relegation. Everton is a Prem team again next season! Dyche gets a lot of crap, but this team faced A LOT this season: the points deduction, the 777 takeover disaster, maybe ANOTHER point deduction looming. So this does feel good. The deck was stacked against them. Obviously beating Liverpool in the Merseyside derby was huge. Oh, and I'll have a Baconator and a large fries...

They are expecting a compensatory 3rd from Jackson.

So 2025 will be Lions 1st, Lions 2nd, Compensatory 3rd, Lions 4th, Lions 5th, Tampa 6th, Lions 7th, Dallas 7th, Jets 7th.

9 picks, with one each in every round isn’t bad. Seems about average.

They traded away their own 3rd for Manu,  the eagles 4th back to them for Vaki, and their 6th for DPJ.
