I don’t get how our entire OL besides Zinter is still sitting there in the 5th round when Penn states oline is almost all drafted???
Giants draft Tyrone Tracy Jr in the 5th...a very intriguing pick! Could be a great returner on special teams and a nice 3rd down back.
Good teams like Michigan guys. Congrats, Trevor Keegan.
That makes it 9, right?
Thats nine.
1st round: McCarthy
2nd: Jenkins, Sainristil
3rd: Colson, Wilson, Zinter, Corum
4th: Barner
5th: Keegan
As of right now South Dakota State has 2 players drafted and MSU has 0.
Also...
Houston Christian, Yale, British Columbia, and the Toronto Argonauts-1
And that's leaving out schools like Western, and Temple.
But Samac, their Center, has a chance.
Seahawks have three 6th round picks. How many will be Wolverines?
Only one more shot. I wonder if MacDonald looks at McGregor and sees Hutch.
Edit: Nope!
Because he's....white????!! Smdh
Da fuq? No. McGregor's got the same shape, played the same role that Hutch did in 2021, and nearly had a few of Hutch's signature INTs. Seattle took Mike Morris last year, although he was the beefier version of that role.
Looks like the Chargers took a poor man's Blake Corum.
I didn’t realize how much money was available for EVERY player drafted:
This number continues to decrease right until the end of the seventh round when the final draft pick - known as Mr Irrelevant - will be able to sign a $4.09million deal.
But a lot of them never make a roster. If they are cut and clear waivers, that's not guaranteed.
Obviously it's good money, but none of it is guaranteed. Brock Purdy signed for 4 yr(s) / $3,737,008. His signing bonus was $77,008. That's all he was owed had he been cut before the season.
Purdy, an obvious outlier, and he will undoubtedly get extended for big money also has received performance bonuses that essentially doubled his salary.

For comparison, the last pick of the 2023 NBA draft:
Chris Livingston signed a 4 year , $7,639,302 contract with the Milwaukee Bucks, including $3,011,420 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $1,909,826.
That's why as crazy as the tampering/portal/NIL situation is in CFB right now, I sorta get it.
Joe "Rico" Milton to the Pats at #193. To backup Drake Maye, taken 190 picks earlier.
They're getting their money's worth out of Jacoby Brissett this season.
Pretty cool that Milton's one Michigan highlight was a great catch by CJ.
9 Wolverines picked in the first 200 picks. 57 picks to go.
There are 6 Wolverines in ESPN's best 57 available, from Jaylen Harrell at #30 to Braiden McGregor at the cusp at 57.
Many of the current picks are coming from outside of the 57, so hopefully Nugent #83, Henderson #92 and/or Jones #95 get picked to help tie or break the record.
Christian Mahogany, G from Boston College to the Lions at 210. I kinda called this one...

Meaning I threw some names against the wall and 1 stuck 🙃🙃🙃
Should Eric All and Joe Milton being drafted count, maybe at a discount, toward trying to set the draft record? At this pace, we're gonna need help?
No way. That would mean ceding Joe Burrow to an OSU.
Yeah, there's that.
Don't think we're breaking the record. I think only 3 more drafted. CornJo, Harrell and Barrett. I think Henderson and Barnhart have an outside shot.
Just need to beat out Bama and Washington, both of which also have nine picks.
Meanwhile, Oregon and Georgia are sitting there with eight each.
Edit: Shit, no, Texas has 11. Every single one of its guys got drafted already.
Well even though they won’t break the record, all those teams were either in the playoff or just missed in Georgia and Oregon. So the correlation between draft picks and team success is incredibly strong and next time OSU fans bitch about sign stealing just present them this data.
Missed Detroit trading up(again) to draft Mekhi Wingo, DT from LSU at 189. No more picks this year barring a trade.
Pretty sure Michigan was the only team to have a player drafted in each of the first 5 rounds. Somehow, we had nobody drafted in the 6th so the streak ended. Hopefully we see a bunch taken in the 7th.
Start of the 7th. 37 picks left, Michigan at 9.
Michigan is down to 4 of ESPN's best 37 available, with Barnhart #44, McGregor #48, Nugent #71, Henderson #80, and Jones #83 outside of the top 37
One more for the Chargers, two for the Ravens, two for the Bengals (they love Michigan guys).
Edit: Ugh. Harbaugh just took Jerry Rice's son over CJ. The dream is hanging on by a thread here.
It might be that Harbaugh will instead wait and then zero in on the UDFA market for a few of his Michigan guys.
He still has one pick left.
In the running for Mr. Irrelevant.
Annnnd...the Bills streak of not drafting from Michigan continues.
We might be done
Staee is tied with Texas A&M Commerce with one seventh rounder each. Never heard of Texas A&M Commerce before let alone knew they had a football team.
Shrewd pick by the Panthers. Michael Barrett is a guy that can play any position, coach, treat injuries, and manage the team.
All this while preparing to replace Chuck Norris.
Mike Barrett #240 to Carolina in the mid. 7th. Michigan up to 10, 1 behind Texas at 11.
Ladarius Henderson #249 to the Texans. Michigan ties Texas at 11.
Jaylen Harrell #252 to Tennessee. Michigan takes the lead at 12, breaking the Michigan record.
252 JH
253 CJ
Jim drafts Corrnelius Johnson at #253. Michigan up to 13.
</body>
Great draft for Michigan and for the Lions - Also, I still hate Rece Davis.
Huh. Kalen King.
1 3
Better than all the rest.
(But we already knew this!)
