Hanging out with my osu buddy down here. He said “Cade stover just got drafted go bucks” to which I reply, “look at the 2 picks before. Sorry bud”
Lucky for Stover (and Stroud), Houston is not scheduled to play Washington with Sainristil.
At least he got those gold pants to remember… oh wait never mind.
Indiana sure can recruit!
No but you know CAN recruit ? ASU. Seems like there are 10 guys who transferred out and are now getting drafted.
Herm Edwards had an eye for talent.
Your team recruits way better than us....supposedly....top 5 every year just about and we've beaten the crap out of your team 3 years in a row,.
With great recruiting comes a lot of entitlement and a me, me, me attitude.
i mean, i know you're trolling, but do you honestly think he'd have been drafted had he returned to the Hoosiers?
Stover will always have that iconic photo of Mikey punching the sure TD out of his grip.
Uh... I think I got it all pretty much into the thread title
Not really. How about mentioning his consensus rank was 181? That’s way above where the experts had him. And wasn’t Stover an All American? Barner wasn’t even our best TE last year!
Great job AJ!!
Edit: Not All American, 1st team All Big Ten.
Real recognize real
The Buckeyes new motto: Were Tough, but a day late and two picks short.
They are going to lose their mind (what little is left, that is) when Sherrone and a patched up offense beats them in November.
They will lose their mind and Just for Men will lose his job. Unless, of course he comes up with another really good excuse.
Its crazy Bucks fans and casual fans telling me the same shit they did back in 2020. At what point do they shut the fuck up? 9 losses in a row 12, 15? At what point do they stop celebrating their 5 star WRs and offseason championships. I mean we could lose but arent we kind of supposed to? Isnt a 1-3 record vs UM, in the last 4, still a absolute shit show and waste of talent from their coaches? I dunno everyone will expect them to win until they finally do no matter what the number is I guess.
I confess that I was mildly surprised that Stover didn't go a bit higher. He was a productive tight end (against teams not named Michigan).
I guess there is a reason no one wants to pay me to evaluate football talent.
Go AJ! Go Blue!
I suspect Stover will be fine however I have noticed that people that have had big games against Michigan have gone on to do well in the NFL.
Don't forget coaching fit: JayBaugh is Seattle's special teams coordinator. Barner also projects as a replacement for Will Dissly as the in-line TE next to Noah Fant.
He’s short for the position with short arms slow doesn’t block well especially against nfl types and drops passes from time to time the only reason anyone has him on they’re board is this assumption that Ohio is talented all over the roster.
I was hoping for a couple more picks in this round, hope a bunch of our guys drop soon!
Picked the wrong school? What?
He's referring to Stover, OSUs top TE who wasn't coached up enough go get picked over AJ.
Or Erick All LOL
Just a quick look into the other side of things. Being from the specific area of Ohio, from which Stover hails, he was never going anywhere but osu, so the phrase "picked the wrong school" might not be the most accurate. He got to live out his dream at osu and playing there brought a lot of excitement to people in mid-Ohio. Did he experience the amount of success he might have anticipated? Thankfully, for us, no. He's a really good and humble dude who proudly and successfully represented his hometown, and I hope he achieves great success in the NFL, which is less likely when Sainristil is opposite him.
Media types tried to hype Stover up and the guy just isn’t an NFL player. It was media and why he was TE of the year over Loveland in the B1G…ask any coach in the country including cryin ryan who they’d rather have.
Oh yeah!!! Welcome to Seattle AJ

What happened to the image upload function?
To Stover's credit, he did make some pretty heads-up plays in the 2023 game to partially makeup for getting posterized by Mikey in 2022.
There was unfortunately the 30 yd drag vs Rolder to set up their first TD, but he also (unlike Maerati Marg) handfought Barrett to prevent a likely INT and although I doubt he'd admit it, I suspect on the final Rod Moore drive, he made sure to drop a check down pass to him - which was smart because he woulda been tackled inbounds when they were out of timeouts.
