Juwan Howard to join Brooklyn Nets as assistant coach
Juwan Howard to become an assistant coach to new head coach Jordi Fernandez and the Brooklyn Nets. Best of luck to Coach. I think he'll do well back in the NBA.

Good luck to him - he was a really good assistant with the Heat.
Even thought the college coaching path he took was far different, like Jim Harbaugh he was always destined to go back to the pros. He is where he was destined to be.
Good luck to him. Hopefully he can rediscover his joy in coaching/teaching.
Thrilled to see him find a landing spot. Good luck, coach, and GO Blue.
Good luck to Juwan - hope it goes well for him. He deserves it.
Glad to see him land on his feet. Good luck home.
Nice to see even Jay-Z is welcoming him to NYC.
Best of luck, have some fun
Best of luck to him. He may be a guy who just belongs in the NBA, and there’s no shame in that.
He handled his firing with a lot of professionalism and dignity, from his Alma mater no less. So regardless of how his coaching career here ended you’ve got to respect him a ton for that.
I really hope he does well, and hope he one day gets a shot to lead an NBA team.
Glad he found a good landing spot and finds good success.
good for him! Wish him all the best. Probably more cut out for pro coaching tbh.
Pre-G league years he'd have made it as a college coach, because all the top players would have played for him.
Great point…
Good luck to him. Hope he'll be good to go healthwise.
i look forward to seeing him as a head coach again.
Good to see this about Coach. May he thrive back in the NBA!
Hope Juwan is completely healthy and ready for a less stressful coaching experience. Best wishes Coach!
Good luck sir!
Neg me, but I really miss him. I don’t miss the anger and the bad play this season, but I just miss him being part of the program. I thought he got a raw deal here and it still pisses me off.
I won't neg you but this year was pretty bad. As Craig Ross, maybe if he'd taken this year off for health reasons things might have worked out.
I mean, he had 5 years here, its not a Rich rod situation (even though i was happy to move on at that time, too). You can be mad at admissions, but somehow May has figured it out very quickly. I'm not sure you can say he got a raw deal, he had every chance to succeed here. Unfortunately, he didn't perform. I still love the guy, but not sure how you can be pissed that it was time to move on: roster management, portal management, off court antics, too much losing. I'm just happy both he and UM are now better off.
Maybe not a raw deal, but he didn’t have the support that’s needed to succeed here in the current ncaa landscape. Neither champions circle nor admissions did him any favors.

Again, May seems to very navigating admissions just fine. Enjoy your neg as well :)

Olm, Coach May is handling a well-known issue re:credits with aplomb, but when the issue first arose under Coach Howard’s watch, it wasn’t well understood (certainly not by the fans, either). You certainly could argue that it was Coach Howard’s job to know, but someone in the AD should have been on top of it then. Now they know better and are doing better (h/t Maya Angelou).
I love requests!
Congratulations, coach. Here's hoping the new job and your health are both great.
Good luck to him. Will always appreciate he was part of the Fab 5, stayed the longest, and graduated.
I appreciate his good years as the head coach quite a bit too! The wheels fell off, but 2019-2021 was a lot of fun in MBB thanks to Juwan.
Wishing Juwan well.. health wise, family wise, and coaching wise.
He’s a class act…. Go Blue! Always….
He'll always be a Michigan Man and member of the Fab Five. I hope he has all the success in the world at the next level
I hope he crushes it. Good for him
I love this man. Wish him nothing but the best moving forward
I know Juwan will do great things coaching in the NBA. The Nets just got a top notch mentor for younger men & big man expert. Love ya 25!
This is great news. I'm glad he landed on his feet and I think he'll do well there.
Best of Luck to Coach Howard. He's probably better suited to the NBA.
