I would take one of them for the trolling lolz being scholarship limits don't exist anymore. Sparty was really bad last year though. They got a new coach that brought in a lot of transfers. They either watched their spring game and said "eff this" or are getting chased off. I have a hard time believing these guys are good. My memories of football last year are hazy though. I just remember winning. Was their D-line as bad as the rest of the team?
I usually agree with going second. In this instance, I liked going first though. We had just torched their defense to march down the field and score. Their d-line would be very tired after the long drive with little time to recover. I was sure we'd score a touchdown going first. Our defense would have more time to rest. And they would know exactly what they need to do to win the game. It made sense in this situation.
Sparty is in for a long rebuild. They may have a qb now, but they are a long way from talented. We'll have to see how much they pick up in the portal. They could have some entertaining losses coming.
Agreed they are probably the best option. It'll be interesting to see how the coaching carousel plays out. Maybe USC would be a good choice as they're more likely to be an inverse Iowa again?
Another interesting option might be to track transfers at their new schools to see if they made a "good" decision. That way the Sparty hate doesn't get involved. And then you can still follow Iowa, but in smaller doses.
I love the New Found Glory intro. It is damn near perfect for Just Brian. I like these as other options as well: Sum 41 - Still Waiting, Linkin Park - In the End, The Offspring - Pretty Fly for a White Guy, Weezer - Pork and Beans, Fall Out Boy - I Don't Care, and The Presidents of the United States of America - Lump.

What is the worst possible hire for Iowa Offensive Coordinator in 2024? Pat Fitzgerald? Matt Patricia? Frian Berentz?
I want them to run Orji-Cat with Mazi Smith behind them to push the ball carrier across the line in goal line situations. I think that would be nearly unstoppable at getting 2 yards.
Exactly, that's why I think you take your strongest team member and put him behind Corum on a short yardage run. If he can't get it, the follower can shove him the rest of the way.
An all run/shove offense sounds odd, but it would probably work similarly to the triple option offenses. As long as you get that 3 yards, you're fine.
I remember seeing this in real time and thought it should be reviewed. I wasn't sure the Iowa safety led with the crown of the helmet, but there was definitely helmet to head contact while he was driving into Wilson to break up the pass. Wilson bounced right up afterwards so I didn't think too much of it when nothing happened.

I guess I'm a "Rebellious Pragmatist." I hope Harbaugh stays because obviously. If he decides the NFL is right for him, I say swing for the fences with Gattis. Go full on young guys, hit the recruiting trail hard, leverage NIL any way we can, and groom Ron Bellamy to replace Gattis someday because everybody loves Ron Bellamy. I would also be content with Matt Campbell.

If Cade can't run the zone read and the coaches are dead set on running it, they have to go to JJ. I like Cade and think he's played pretty well, but wtf are we doing!?
I get the point, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. And Cade is one of the "weakest" parts of our offense. The OL is good and the rest of the skill position players are outpacing expectations. I guess I am just hung up on the wording of it. I don't consider Cade to be a below average QB in the Big Ten. And to get the cyan, it seems like you should be in the bottom half category.

I have to agree with the OP, but only because of the transitive property. If Graham Mertz didn't get cyaned, Cade shouldn't get cyaned. One QB is way better than the other, but the cyan says otherwise.
I’ve had that same thought myself. It is almost impossible not to while watching him wreck opposing offenses.
I doubt one guy replaces him, but more improvement from everyone should do the trick. One more year with the DTs, Ojabo, McGregor (doubly so with another year distance between him and that injury), and maybe a current Freshman flipping the switch could all do the trick.
Don’t underestimate the leap forward by the defense as a whole with Macdonald in his 2nd year at DC.
Can we pay him to wear an MGoShirt to a game, assuming he can wear one there? Then we can all vote on what shirt he wears. They can charge $5 a vote or something so we can all pay what we want for all the votes we can get. And all proceeds can go to Mr. Bell. The comedic value if he gets on tv during the game would be immense.
