Pretty cool hire by the School of Music Theater and Dance.   Love the photo of him at Niagra Falls as a kid wearing his Michigan hat.  I think I had the same hat from that era as a kid.   Welcome back to Ann Arbor Chris and Go Blue!

  2. Will you bite the hand that feeds?

  3. Will you chew until it bleeds?

  4. Can you get up off your knees?

  5. Are you brave enough to see?

  6. Do you wanna change it?

Student: "Good morning, Professor. How are you?"

NiN: "I hurt myself today. To see if I still feel."

Student: "Um, that's terrible! Isn't that painful?"

NiN: "I focus on the pain. The only thing that's real."

Student: "Well, OK then. I think I am going to drop this class."

NiN: "What have I become? My sweetest friend. Everyone I know goes away, in the end."

Student: "Yeah, I'm dropping, you psycho..."

You're not too far off, actually- He's joining the PAT program- Performing Arts Technology. Stuff like sound engineering and prodiction - setting up a studio for a recording session, operating a mixing board, editing a recording together and finalizing the mix, video production, lighting, etc- it's all stuff that I'd imagine he's very experienced in.

Cool story bro:

A friend of mine who is a former Imagineer is good friends with Trent Reznor.  He also happens to design Augmented Reality Games along with another friend.  Their game for NIN included putting a thumb drive on a urinal at a NIN concert.   When a fan found it and stuck it in their computer it "simulated" a virus and gave the fan a puzzle to solve.  The fan put the puzzle online and a bunch of hardcore NIN fans collaborated to solve the puzzle which told them to show up at this underground club in LA.  About 100 of them showed up.  A NIN cover band came on stage and started playing.  After a few songs my buddies burst into the club dresses as SWAT officers and arrested the NIN fans.  (They were worried about the NIN fans fighting back but luckily avoided any violence.)  They drove the fans to another location where NIN actually performed and the fans got a bunch of free swag for solving the puzzle.
