"CJ stroud is too soft" derp derp.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:14 PM ^
Looking pretty gross right now. I'm not feeling so well.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:15 PM ^
Ohio State is going to beat Georgia, and then crush TCU and things will be back to normal for us. It was fun while it lasted.
BPONE is real.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:42 PM ^
That will suck, and especially so since I live in Ohio. But it would at least guarantee that they won't fix what's broken.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:15 PM ^
OSU is going to win the natty, aren’t they?
Pummel OSU in the shoe, win the Big Ten….
….. only to have them luck their way into the playoff and end up winning it all lmao.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:31 PM ^
That's why the current CFP setup is a farce. You have (had 😭) two 13-0 teams. UM and UGA should have played each other for the natty, ala BCS. Fuck TCU and OSU.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:32 PM ^
It's not "fuck TCU".
TCU whooped our ass. Good for them.
I'll be their #1 fan next week.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:39 PM ^
It was a 6-point game despite two pic 6's and a TD pulled off the board. Perhaps "whooped our ass" is a bit much?
December 31st, 2022 at 9:40 PM ^
Sir, the score didn't reflect how badly TCU whooped us.
December 31st, 2022 at 11:41 PM ^
This would be the funniest outcome, so it’s my operating assumption. An ouroboros of defeats: OSU > TCU > Michigan > OSU (and so on).
December 31st, 2022 at 9:15 PM ^
Well…at least Ohio State won’t be able to put the Michigan score on their championship rings this time.
Goddamnit, Georgia.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:15 PM ^
Congrats to OSU on their national title. A pretty pathetic championship all things considered, but it still counts the same.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:15 PM ^
It will make me puke if OSU wins the national championship!
December 31st, 2022 at 9:16 PM ^
This won't be a popular thread.
Especially since it looks like OSU made the effort to prepare and develop a good game plan.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:16 PM ^
FUCK OHIO
December 31st, 2022 at 9:16 PM ^
Worst football day ever
December 31st, 2022 at 9:17 PM ^
I know this is not the right thread, but I would have rather got molly whopped by Alabama than our loss today.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:20 PM ^
I literally don't know what this means. You would have rather lost to Ohio State so we don't make the playoffs? And ... even so ... you think K State fans are thinking, "well, at least we didn't make the playoffs"!?
Please. Losing sucks. It always hurts, if you care. But this was an awesome year, and wishing we hadn't made the playoffs seems ... bizarre. If you want, we can go back to the Rich Rod years. At least we didn't lose a really close game in the playoffs those years! Wasn't that better?
December 31st, 2022 at 9:25 PM ^
I'm talking about a hypothetical CFP scenario in which all of those SEC dweebs that were making an argument for Bama to get in over TCU actually happened. If we somehow played them in the semi's, I'd rather have taken a blowout loss against Bama than what I watched today. This loss has to be in my top 3.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:17 PM ^
One of the worst days of Michigan football fandom.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:20 PM ^
Pretty new to Michigan football fandom, are you?
December 31st, 2022 at 9:36 PM ^
If OSU wins today?
This is a separate category from “low point of the program” or something like that. This is, purely, a categorization of a single day.
I’ve been through some great Michigan sports days and some terrible ones.
This would absolutely be on the list. Probably on top. We don’t even have a vocabulary to describe the level of awful if OSU were to go win the national title after this season, after the soul-crushing game we just lost.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:50 PM ^
A Chris Weber calls time out, 1979 USC Mystery Fumble, Big Ten 1973 Vote for Rose Bowl, Trey Burke Foul, Sparty Blocks Punt, Cordell Stewart Connects, Drew Henson to Yankees, JT Was Short, App State cocktail is the vocabulary word you seek,
December 31st, 2022 at 10:27 PM ^
And yet we beat them soundly two years in a row, this year in their house, and that now means nothing? Crazy. Their play outside of us has nothing to do with us.
December 31st, 2022 at 11:07 PM ^
We beat them. Not invalidated. But it wasn't today, and if they get the national title... that's a bitter, bitter pill to swallow.
I don't know what to tell people if the thought of OSU winning a national title that we had every shot of winning (and Georgia clearly looks beatable and we clearly have the tools to have won the game today) doesn't repulse every sports fan fiber in their body.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:00 AM ^
It's dumb luck. Life is like that. What wasn't dumb luck? Us beating them two years in a row, both in humiliating ways, especially the one in Columbus. That's how it doesn't repulse every fiber in my body.
January 1st, 2023 at 12:07 AM ^
Update: Thankfully, an academic question and not a real one.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:22 PM ^
No it's not this is a stupid thought.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:29 PM ^
Like, worst day this month I guess, sure.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:18 PM ^
Imagine preparing for a serious bowl game instead of believing you can just out hit everyone
December 31st, 2022 at 9:39 PM ^
OSU has been outgained by 100 yards. I'm not sure they will stay in this game.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:18 PM ^
UGA has a lot of pressure to win this game, much like Michigan winning their game. The underdogs have nothing to lose and ends up winning.. OSU offense is built to destroy TCU defense. I'm afraid we will have to watch OSU win a national championship!
December 31st, 2022 at 9:19 PM ^
Also we should never win the Moore award again
December 31st, 2022 at 9:27 PM ^
I mean, even Olu... our last gasp drive at the end first he forgets to snap the ball, then he snaps too early on the next play to end it. Stress and pressure do weird things to talented people.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:19 PM ^
This isnt looking good. The team we crushed in their own building is gonna back door into a title. Sigh
December 31st, 2022 at 9:20 PM ^
Thanks in part to a Michigan staff that was too busy patting themselves on the back and not enough time preparing the team for the Fiesta Bowl
December 31st, 2022 at 9:19 PM ^
21-7 OSU IF Ohio State wins tonight they will roll TCU 🤢 could be a long offseason
December 31st, 2022 at 9:21 PM ^
21-14. We're all Bulldogs tonight.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:23 PM ^
...(Except my wallet)
/cringes
December 31st, 2022 at 9:27 PM ^
If our offense was generally going up and down the field on TCU - mostly through the air - then OSU is hanging 60 on them
December 31st, 2022 at 9:20 PM ^
These teams have better talent than most NFL teams.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:21 PM ^
Uh no they don’t.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:29 PM ^
Terrible take. The worst NFL teams this year, even the Texans, would boat race even the best college teams
I think you grossly underestimate what pro teams have. Even the worst pro teams are full of guys who were huge talents in college. Their games didn’t necessarily translate to the pros, but they’d would absolutely dominate the best college teams.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:30 PM ^
Lol mmmkay
December 31st, 2022 at 9:37 PM ^
You are correct that a NFL team would boat race these guys but I just read there are 16 projected first rounders in the next two drafts in this game. Without having Alabama playing, this is just about the most NFL talent you can get on the field in a college football game.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:20 PM ^
I think we need a "TCU Snowflakes: The Fans" thread. I love this blog on every day but game day. No offense to the OP, I have no issue with this post.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:21 PM ^
Could not upvote this enough.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:21 PM ^
We cant control osu’s destiny anymore. We did our job and beat them when it counted.
December 31st, 2022 at 9:22 PM ^
If OSU wins this I'm going to lose my mind
