Nick Saban’s Dye Job……SO BAD.

I mean, he looks like a rooster.  Who let him go on tv like that!?   Looks like a fool at the NFL Draft.

More people seem to be talking about Saban admitting to tampering.  From Athlon Sports:

Nick Saban's glaring admission during ABC's coverage of the 2024 NFL Draft stole the show on Thursday night. The Philadelphia Eagles drafted Toledo CB Quinyon Mitchell with the No. 22 overall pick during the first round. That led to some insight and analysis from Saban, who joined the College GameDay desk this offseason.

Saban, who retired from his role as Alabama's head coach following the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, accidentally admitted to tampering during the segment. Saban said that the Alabama coaching staff did everything they could to convince Mitchell to enter the portal and transfer to Alabama. He stayed put at Toledo, though. "He was our No. 1 guy in the portal last year to try to get him to come out of the portal, and he would never get in the portal," said Saban.

That's called tampering, Coach Saban. But let's be honest: Everyone's doing it and if you're not you're getting left behind.

Which is exactly what Sam was telling the crew on the Roundtable today.

Doesn't look great --- but I'm pretty sure Nick isn't the only one on the GameDay set who dyes his hair (cough cough Desmond).

FWIW, I don't care if men dye their hair.  Doesn't bother me, many men look better with it.

I think it looks fine from the pics I saw.

If Saban feels younger by seeing it, or allows him to have a higher social standing by having it (and thus higher salaries since he doesn't look washed up), then it serves the purpose.

How often do we ignore advice from older individuals or not hire older individuals when they just look too old? The health issues of dye may pale in comparison to opportunities and happiness in life, for some people.

And like someone else mentioned...his contemporaries do it...not just the folks on tv but his other rich friends. Different social circle.

Dyeing your hair is a bad choice 100% of the time. I don’t know why people still fail to realize this. You can’t artificially youthen one aspect of your appearance and have it look natural.

I think it's a way to age disgracefully. Anecdote which may say something about something: The older women in my extended social circle who are letting it go (gray) tend to be in better overall shape than the ones who are still "coloring." (To answer the obvious question, I don't know any older dudes with dye jobs.)

(I'll give twenty- and thirty-somethings a pass.)

I seriously like the way Saban spoke about Arnold’s character. Campbell seems to have a lot of Harbaugh philosophy. Build a team of talented guys with great character.

Look, you've got basically two options with men's hair dye: shoe polish black or the brown that turns slightly red when exposed to sunlight (because men aren't smart enough to go to their wives' salon, apparently). Saban has been on the latter train for decades.

The real mistake was not embracing maturity and going full Silver Fox in the 1990s. Now he's gotta commit to the deception, especially transitioning to TV.
